The Short Version
We believe in minimal data collection. Lovelink Duo is designed so that your private moments stay private. We collect only what's strictly necessary to deliver the app to you - your email address at purchase - and nothing else.
What Data We Collect
When you purchase Lovelink Duo, your payment is processed by Stripe. Through this process, we receive your email address so we can deliver your license key and provide support. We do not store your payment card details - Stripe handles that entirely.
That's it. No analytics, no trackers, no telemetry baked into the app.
In-App Data Stays on Your Device
Lovelink Duo does not have a backend that stores your data. Here's what happens with your in-app activity:
- Messages and heartbeats are transient - they travel through MQTT and are never stored on any server.
- Your settings, preferences, and secret key are stored locally on your device only.
- No conversation history is kept anywhere, by design.
Security
Encryption in Transit (TLS)
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS. No one can eavesdrop on the connection.
End-to-End Encryption (E2EE)
Message content is encrypted on your device using a shared secret key that only you and your partner know. We do not possess the decryption keys and cannot access your communications - ever.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, share, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. The only external service involved is Stripe for payment processing, which operates under its own privacy policy.

If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
